Beginning Hand Building Class
Join us for this four-week class, held Monday evenings from 5:30–8:30 PM on August 11, 18, 25, and September 1. This course welcomes all skill levels—no prior experience required. The class will cover Pinch, Coil, and Slab hand building techniques. The fee includes four sessions, 25 pounds of clay, the use of basic tools, slips, glazes, kiln firings, and access to the studio for independent work during open hours (for adult students 18 and older). Whether you’re new to ceramics or aiming to sharpen your skills, this class provides a supportive and creative space to develop your hand building techniques.

Papermaking Workshop

August 23 and August 30. Saturday afternoon 1-4 pm.

Papermaking Workshop

Please join us for a 2-day hands-on papermaking workshop. The first Saturday session will explore the Western tradition using rag and papermaking linters and the second Saturday session will explore Eastern tradition using Kozo bast fiber and plant fibers. Students will learn the basics of sheet-forming as well as layering and building a handmade paper collage. All workshop supplies, tools, fibers, and pigments are included in the workshop fee.
